Hammer crusher is suitable for crushing limestone, bluestone, marl, sandstone, shale, gypsum, coal and other raw materials with compressive strength less than 150MPa and calcium content higher than 40% with medium hardness. Among them, the compressive strength of the material is not more than 150 MPa, and the humidity is not more than 15%. It is often used as crushing equipment for stone crushing, stone crushing, mine crushing, plastic crushing, garbage crushing and other materials. In large-scale crushing production lines, it is often combined with heavy hammer crusher for medium or fine crushing.

Hammer Crushers Working Principle

The important working part is the rotor with hammer head. The ore is crushed along the fragile parts such as natural cracks and joint surfaces by using the high-speed rotating hammer head to strike, impact and grind. In the lower part of the rotor, there is a sieve plate, and the particle size of the crushed material smaller than the size of the sieve hole is discharged through the sieve plate. For materials with larger particle size, the granular materials that bounce back to the liner will be crushed by the additional impact of the hammer head. During the whole process of material crushing, the materials will also be crushed by mutual impact. Finally, it is discharged out of the machine through the sieve plate.
