Mud-Stone Separator

Durability Clay-Rock Separation Equipment For Ore Pre-Screening

The mud-stone separator is a highly efficient and durable piece of mineral pre-screening equipment. Its primary function is to separate clay, silt, and solid ore from mixed raw materials. Utilizing a unique screening mechanism, it significantly enhances the purity of mineral feedstocks, making it ideal for applications in mining, construction aggregate production, sand and gravel plants, and similar sectors. This mud-stone separator effectively resolves common issues associated with traditional screening methods—such as material adhesion and clogging. Characterized by a high degree of automation, it is capable of adapting to a wide range of complex operating conditions, making it particularly well-suited for mines and sand and gravel plants where strict requirements for raw material purity are in place.

Краткое введение

Сайт mud-stone separator, also known as a clay/soil-rock separator, is a heavy-duty roller screening equipment designed for pre-screening of materials such as ores, sand and gravel aggregates, and solid waste with high water content and high viscosity. Frequently employed as a pre-treatment device prior to various ore crushing operations, it effectively separates impurities—such as mud and fine sand—from larger ore lumps and stones in advance. This process significantly enhances the efficiency of subsequent crushing and beneficiation stages, while simultaneously improving the purity of the final products. In addition, it is also suitable for the pretreatment of river pebbles and mountain quarries, separating mud, dust and impurities from the stone, reducing the operating pressure of subsequent sand washing processes, and improving the gradation rationality of finished sand and gravel.

JXSC mud-stone separator can also be mounted on a mobile chassis to form a mobile screening station, thereby meeting the operational requirements for easy relocation and deployment across multiple work sites. Currently, it has become a standard pre-treatment device across a wide range of sectors, including mining operations, sand and gravel aggregate production, river dredging projects, coal and gangue separation, and solid waste resource utilization.

Why Choose Our Mud-Stone Separator

Mud Stone Separator

High-Strength Frame:

Discs and Liners:

Both are constructed from thickened high-manganese steel or high-chromium alloy, offering excellent wear resistance and impact resistance.

Variable-Frequency Speed-Regulating Motors:

Each section is equipped with an independent variable-frequency control drive module, allowing for flexible adjustment of roller speed based on feed volume and material moisture.

Anti-clogging Diversion Channel:

Reduces slurry caking and accumulation, ensuring continuous and stable operation.

Преимущества

1. Controllable Separation Precision: The screening gap can be precisely adjusted to meet specific user requirements, achieving a soil separation rate of over 95%. This significantly enhances the purity of downstream finished materials and effectively mitigates issues related to excessive soil content.

2. High Processing Capacity: A single unit 30 to 1,000 TPH, meeting the diverse production needs of small- to large-scale mines or sand and gravel plants.

3. Lower Operating Energy Consumption: Utilizing a variable-frequency drive combined with a sprocket transmission design, the transmission efficiency exceeds 98%; consequently, energy consumption is lower than that of traditional screening equipment for equivalent production capacities.

4. Wider Range of Applications: Capable of screening highly viscous, wet materials—reliably processing everything from high-moisture ores mined during the rainy season to heavy, cohesive construction waste.

5. Optional Accessories: Systems such as dust suppression spray components and mobile wheel assemblies can be added as needed to meet specific operational requirements across various scenarios.

6. Anti-Clogging Design: This mud-rock separator features a design incorporating high-inclination screen plates and anti-stick materials, effectively preventing clogging; it is particularly well-suited for processing highly viscous ores or construction waste.

7. Long Service Life: All core components are constructed from thickened, wear-resistant materials. Routine maintenance requires only periodic lubrication, eliminating the need for extensive manual intervention and resulting in low operation and maintenance costs.

8. Versatile Feeding Compatibility: The input end accommodates a variety of feeding methods—including hoppers, chain plate feeders, and belt conveyors—allowing for seamless integration into existing production lines without the need for additional on-site modifications.

9. Excellent Environmental Performance: The fully enclosed structure can be optionally equipped with a spray dust suppression system to further clean mud adhering to the surface of the stones. The screening process generates no dust spillage or pollution, thereby meeting environmental production standards.

Mud Stone Separator Working Principle

The core operating principle of the mud-stone separator is based on multi-stage, interlinked roller screening technology. The main body of the equipment consists of multiple parallel-aligned rotating rollers, each uniformly fitted with disc-shaped screening plates made of high-manganese steel. The rollers are driven synchronously via a sprocket-and-chain mechanism, with their direction of rotation aligned with the direction of material conveyance. As the mud-stone mixture enters the equipment from the feed end, the rollers drive the discs to rotate at a constant speed; larger stones and ore lumps are lifted by the discs, conveyed forward, and ultimately discharged from the equipment’s outlet into the subsequent processing stage. Conversely, soil and fine impurities—particles smaller than the gaps between the rollers—fall through the spaces between the rollers and discs onto a conveyor belt located at the bottom of the equipment, where they are collected and discharged.

Часто задаваемые вопросы

Our mud and rock separator is capable of processing a wide variety of materials—including various ores, sand and gravel, construction and renovation waste, municipal solid waste, river silt, and coal gangue—covering the vast majority of solid materials.

Supports various particle sizes, with adjustable screen gap specifications and rotational speeds. Depending on the specific screen plate configuration. If a wider range is required, contact us for the screen mesh size that can be customized.

There are no specific requirements regarding material hardness. Even hard stone materials—such as granite and basalt—with a Mohs hardness of 7 or higher can be processed without issue. We will select the appropriate wear-resistant materials tailored to the hardness of your specific materials, thereby ensuring that the service life of the equipment remains unaffected.

The biggest advantage of the mud and stone separator is that it can handle highly viscous and wet materials without clogging through its rolling screening and automatic cleaning design. In contrast, traditional trommel screens и вибрационные экраны are prone to screen-hole blockage issues when processing materials with a moisture content exceeding 30%. Furthermore, for a given processing capacity, the mud-stone separator offers superior wear resistance and a longer service life; consequently, its overall long-term operating costs are significantly lower than those of traditional screening equipment.

Absolutely. Our clay-rock separator can be integrated with either a crawler-mounted or wheeled mobile chassis to form a mobile mud-stone screening station. This configuration is ideally suited for applications requiring frequent site relocation—such as river dredging, construction and demolition waste processing, and small-scale, decentralized mining operations.
