En ABS spiral separator, also known as the ABS spiral chute o plastic spiral concentrator, is a new type of gravity separation equipment for separating beach sand, zircon sand, and fine-grained metal ores. Its primary working component is a spiral chute made of ABS engineering plastic, mounted vertically on a steel frame; it requires no external power source, relying instead on the gravity flow of the slurry to achieve efficient separation of light and heavy minerals. This equipment is widely used for the separation of non-ferrous metals, rare metals, and non-metallic minerals with different specific gravities, such as ilmenite, chromite, tin ore, tungsten ore, zircon, rutile, and monazite.
Compared to traditional fiberglass (FRP) spiral chutes, the ABS version is approximately 30% lighter, resulting in significantly lower transportation and installation costs. It offers superior impact toughness and resistance to seawater corrosion, ensuring a longer service life in the humid, saline environments typical of coastal sand deposits.
